Silk in Trentino has had a significant importance, deeply influencing the landscape, the economy, the society and the morphology of the territory through the cultivation of mulberry trees and the housing and industrial construction. In this workshop, participants will be able to discover the silk production process starting from the cultivation of mulberry trees, the breeding of silkworms (Bombyx mori), up to the processing of cocoons for the production of raw thread.
